I hate all of you now lol. I want those wheels on ebay holy hell those look amazing! That sport looks good too. However my biggest problem (and the reason I HATE plastidip, and painting wheels) is I live in NewEngland, and the salt will destroy whatever paint I do to these wheels, and it will drive me NUTS fixing them as I'm crazy OCD. I use IronX on every little rust spot I see every wash.

Anyways thanks for the pics guys I appreciate the help. for 800 bucks I could never justify anything for my truck my wife would rip my balls off and eat them.

on that note. I just debadged my "RAM 1500" badges. Enjoy :)

And I took better pics of what i did yesterday. Also I took a close up of the black edition quality so you guys can see what I mean about how I wanted it shiney. Obviusly this is nothing new to the people that own the black edition...

Also, whats the deal with everyone getting black stickers over the B pillars fromt he factory? Was it part of my package not to add it, cause I feel like I lucked out. My coworker has an 09 big horn and its so weathered it looks like ass, and im sure its impossible to peal off at that stage..

Looking good! So it's ok to completely black out a white truck but a blacked out black truck is over done? Lol, your following suite with white, BUT I like it :)

As for de-badging, it's simple. I've always used fishing line and wd40/goof off, works like a charm. I left the HEMI on my RCSB. You going this route?

Hey I missed this post sorry. Yes thats the route I'm going. And yes I'm calling the kettle black, except im a white kettle hahaha. I justified my responses in the other thead tho, when done right it looks good :emotions133:

Lol, black and white just belong together. Indeed it does look good when done properly.

You talking about that tiny speck of rust above the "4" in 4X4?

@ JmHm17 - After looking at your truck closely, I am not so sure anymore if you should do black wheels...

It looks really good with the chrome, especially because of your side step.

The only think I would consider is black housings on your headlights, and clear signals.

It would be all back and white truck, sitting on chrome. Perfect!

Just IMHO :)

Better question, where can I get gloss or flat black Ram emblems for 2012 ???

Did they change at all on 2013 and 2014s??

So you think I should rattle can them?? The front grill is easy to take off, but I'd probably leave the tailgate emblem on and mask it.

Maybe I did a ****** job, but my 4 week old plasti-dip is already bubbling a little... :(

My truck does sit baking in the sun all day.

I was really hoping to by some painted ones and slap em on.

This is why I hate painting or plastidiping things..

13 14 Dodge RAM 1500 Black 4x4 Emblem Nameplate Badge New Mopar Genuine | eBay

13 14 Dodge RAM 1500 2500 3500 Front Rear Black Rams Head Badge Emblem Mopar | eBay

These guys are only 40 miles away from me. You can search for ones closer to the west coast for faster shipping, but they packaged things well and I know they are 100% Mopar parts, not some painted emblems from a junk yard

I'm pretty sure they are all the same size. the only difference I know of is 09-12 said "DODGE" on the rear Ram head where 13-14 dosnt

Oh also I suggest you follow this http://www.ramforum.com/90973-post1.html on pulling off the 4X4 badge, and even the remaining tape left over from the rear Ram head. The rear ram head is a PITA to take off, I had to use a plastic prying tool to get under it then just rip it off, really no clean way to do it as 100% of the badge has 3m tape behind it, and it gets messy, but whats left I suggest using the tecnique in the youtube video.

and if you do the 4X4 badge I suggest masking it off so you can get it straight again and int he same location, heres a trick I used with some electrical tape.
