I don't know what the hell Chrysler decided to use for adhesive on these for 2017. But, these things are HORRIBLE to remove in comparison to my last 2 Rams. WD40 isn't even softening the adhesive that's left on there. I may have to go get some 3M adhesive remover. What was a 20 minute project on my Express is not gonna drag out on my BigHorn.... WTF over!!!!

Hindsight is 20/20 but if you know you're gonna remove them when you buy a vehicle have the dealer remove them as a condition of sale. Worked for me.

I didn't want them messing with any more than they needed to. They probably would have used a cutting torch to get them off anyway. 3M adhesive remover ended up working.

Can't say I blame you. Fortunately, they did a good job removing them on my last 2 Rams. Glad you got them off.

Yank 'em off. Makes quite a difference IMO.

Probably a reaction to how many of them peeled off when the owner didn't want them to on the last few model years.

I like the black better but I don't know why they used that material. I would have liked them to be painted black there. Mine cracked so I took the drivers side off and put the glossy black plastic on. It looks nice but takes forever. I still need to do the passenger side.

Use a heat gun and it will come right off. Just don't get it too hot or you can possibly damage the paint or window seals.

I used a little heat and a lot. No matter how much I used they we're terrible to get off. But, more heat left on more adhesive. I ended up pulling them cold and used a citrus based adhesive remover. Was quite a fun ordeal!

What did you use for replacements? Have any pics. I order some of eBay but I haven't put them on yet.

Just be careful not to stick down until ready. I broke one by messing up placement. He replaced for free.
