Previous owner of the shop truck painted the grille inserts silver, and it was driving me crazy. I decided to paint them this weekend, and also tinted the foglights to match the heads. I think the black and blue looks much cleaner than the blue with silver and chrome...

The grille looks better black. But honestly, the fog lights look too dark (when compared to the headlights).

This is a track truck, so it doesn't get driven on the street unless I am on the way to the dragstrip. I am actually considering tinting the outside of the headlamps to match in an attempt to hide the chrome inside the housing.

How many coats of nightshades on the fogs? Can u tell a difference in lightoutput? Just snap a pic oF them On.

I always thought of putting a cutoff on the vertical fogs to help with the light scatter.

The fogs are essentially useless now. Because I don't drive this truck on the street with the exception of driving to the track, I didn't care. I just wanted them black to get rid of any hint of chrome. I'm likely going to do a light coat on the headlamps to hide the chrome inside the housing as well.

Looks great Matt! I see that you are definitely not a chromo-******, but you might be a little chromo-phobic, lol! ;)

That was my first mod to mine, the fogs looked stupid on a truck with the black appearance group. Only diff was I used Lamin-X since I use my fogs pretty often. Not as stealthy as yours though.

Are the headlights tinted or are the housings painted? If they are tinted what did you use?
