Getting ready to do the brakes on my 11 ram and was wondering what brake fluid (DOT 3 or 4, synthetic or regular) and what brake pads everyone is using? (metallic or ceramic or?)

i cant remember if these trucks call for dot 4 or not, but the answer is on the cap for the brake fluid reservoir. either way, if you buy dot 4 brake fluid you would be fine. all dot 3 and 4 brake fluids are synthetic.

If you are doing the work yourself, buy a little extra and instead of just bleeding the brakes, do a line flush.

I plan on flushing it entirely but I'm trying to find out what fluid it calls for.
