I am coming from an 09 F150 to a 2018 2500 Longhorn. The brakes on this truck are horrible compared to the F150. I don't know if that is due to the heavy duty truck and weight or just their oem pads/rotors sucks. Is there a big difference with the aftermarket kits out there? If so any specific brands you guys would recommend. Would really love to enhance the braking A LOT!

The additional weight of a 2500 over a half ton, plus the weight of that Cummins would have you stopping a truck that is in the 7000 lb + range, vs 5000 lb range for a half ton. Would have to be noticeable.
No 7000 lb truck is going to stop on a dime. When I had my 2011 3500 SRW crew/LB with the Cummins, I thought that truck stopped decently.
You can get more aggressive pads from companies like Performance Friction, EBC and Hawk that will stop the vehicle better, but at the expense of more rapidly wearing the brake rotors. As I recall, the rotors on my 2011 3500 were huge, and I would guess those on your 2500 would be similar.
