Bumper paint (or lack of)

Hey group I need some help. I have a 16 2500 Tradesman with the black bumpers. My back bumper has been fading pretty much since I bought my truck. Apparently the black bumpers aren't even painted. The are just e coated. This doesn't seem right. Is chrysler Ram really that cheap? will my warranty cover this?

The dealer will probably laugh and deny the claim. D'oh
If RAM black bumpers are anything like the ones on Ford trucks/vans, it will start surface rusting soon. Plan on painting them or have them sprayed with Line-X

Line-X Platinum $250 for the rear bumper inside and out, rockers $899 and inside rear wheel wells $150.
