I've caught a nail in my right rear near the sidewall causing a slow leak. Pepboys is scared to plug it. My fronts have medium wear and the rears lighter wear after 49K MI. Should I replace just the one with the nail or replace all four stock tires to get better rubber all around?

At 49K I'd be looking to replace all 4. My 2 cents

At a minimum I'd do both rears but if you can swing it now, do all 4 if you're at 49K.

I'd use any excuse to junk those stock Goodyears. Buy four better tires.

As all have said at 49k do at least the rears but if you can swing it I would do all 4 and be done with it! Check you local tire place or Tire Rack there are alot of rebates out there

To get to 49K I only did regular rotations and stayed on top of the tire pressure. I went ahead and swapped all four to Cooper Adventurer H/T from Pepboys. I drive 99% highway.

The factory goodyears are pretty notoriously hated around here, and known as 30k mile junkers. Kudos for getting the mileage you did. I stretched mine to like 38k...but they were shot by 30k...you did great.
