Currently when I have the low beam headlights on, my drl/fog/parking lights are also on. Is there a way to program/switch these off so they only come one when I turn them on?

For that matter, is there a way to have the fogs come on with the brights?

Hey BassDaggett,

Here is the DRL info from the manual (page 174), regarding what can be programmed:

"Daytime Running Lights (DRL) — If Equipped
The headlights on your vehicle will illuminate when the
engine is started and the transmission is in any gear
except PARK. This provides a constant Lights ON
condition until the ignition is turned OFF. The lights
illuminate at less than 50% of normal intensity. If the
parking brake is applied, the Daytime Running Lights
(DRL) will turn OFF. Also, if a turn signal is activated, the
DRL lamp on the same side of the vehicle may turn off for
the duration of the turn signal activation. Once the turn
signal is no longer active, the DRL lamp will illuminate.
Headlight Delay
To aid in your exit, your vehicle is equipped with a
headlight delay that will leave the headlights on for
approximately up to 90 seconds. This delay is initiated
when the ignition is turned OFF while the headlight
switch is on, and then the headlight switch is cycled off.
Headlight delay can be cancelled by either turning the
headlight switch on then off, or by turning the ignition
ON.
NOTE: If your vehicle is equipped with a touchscreen,
this feature can be programmed through the Uconnect
system. Refer to “Uconnect Settings” in “Understanding
Your Instrument Panel” for further information.
If your vehicle is not equipped with a touchscreen, this
feature can be programmed through the Electronic Vehicle
Information Center (EVIC) or Driver Information
Display (DID). Refer to “Electronic Vehicle Information
Center (EVIC)” or “Driver Information Display (DID)” in
“Understand"

The DRLs are programmed into the computer to either be off or on full time, so what you have with your DRLs is the only option you have other than the dealer turning them off completely, the fog lights can be turned off while the headlights are on.

as far as your fog lights being able to be on when your high beams are turned on, thats a dealer programmable option, many dealers will not do it for you, but it can be programmed if you have a dealer that is willing, ive had it done on every ram ive owned that is 2006+

I'm starting to think I'm confusing the fog lights (vertical slit in bumper with lights) with DRLs. The lights in the bumper seem to be on whenever I'm driving and when the low beams are on. Is it possible my Fog Lights and DRLs are one in the same?

if you have projectors the amber LEDs in your headlights are your DRLs, fog lights are in your bumper (vertical lights)

I've got the Factory Quads

Factory Quads, not Projectors. Is the Amber light the DRL then, or the vertical fogs?

if you have factory quad headlights then your low beam is the DRL, the amber on those is the parking light and the turn signal

This is the point where I realize my knee has been in the way of the light switch. Hopped in the truck at lunch only to realize there was a push-button ON/OFF switch for the fogs incorporated into the rotational headlight switch... Yes, I feel like an idiot! But at least I have the answer (and the answer I was hoping for)!

LOL was just about to post that... push the headlight dial in and it turns off the FLs :)

No worries, it took me a year until I realized I had a button to manually turn on the rear light above the back window that lights up the truck bed :hahano:

DanR... The funny thing is I also found the back window and truck bed light switch! Just didn't mention it in the post.
