They used to be optional for new clamps.. smart they dont anymore. I had to order them after the fact, and use a grinder to get the old ones off. If you live in a Rust area do yourself a favor and buy a cheap angle grinder.

with new clamps, why do you need a grinder?
Aren't the factory clamps tacked on factory the tip section

I put a set of these on last week...agree that the look is great!

My stock ones came off very easily (800 miles on the truck) and the new Carven tips went on with no issues.

My only concern is that the clamp may loosen a bit with time so I'm keeping an eye on how tight it is. Don't want the tips moving around. They haven't so far but its only been a few hundred miles.

The old ones had rusted in place and the bolts wouldnt budge when trying to remove em. Had to grind the bolts off.

Are these tips angle cut at the end? Looking for more of a straight down look.

Mine are angle cut. Some of the videos on You Tube show straight...but mine came with the angle. They must have changed the design.

I personally like the angle look...but thats me.

I have one of the original ones that are straight. I'm not sure why they changed the design. Both look great.
