Hi Guys,

This morning I found this chipped area on the passenger side of my bed right behind the cab. I don't know when this happened but for it to expose metal it must have been a hard hit. I see the slightest twinge of rust. What could I do to treat this to prevent further damage?

P.S. not sure why the photo go flipped on upload.

Just get an OEM paint stick and touch it up. That's what I do and it's worked so far

The OEM pen also has a tip to etch all the rust away before touching up

It's pretty cheap, I think like $10, maybe less

I would remove first the rust by using sand paper then apply primer before using touchup paint.

Touch up

I just bought the white pw7 Oem touch up brush/pen from dodge dealer two weeks ago very nice setup even has a clear coat applicator and a wedge style scuff tip to get rust and what not cleaned up. Anyways it does actually work very nice I have a idiot for a neighbor who cuts his seriously small yard with a commercial walk behind and he hit my passenger front door with a bolt he dropped in his yard and dented and chipped the paint so the Oem touch up setup did a perfect job on the chip the dent is there and I'm not messing with it till it needs done it's only the size of your pinky finger. And yes I thought I was going to kill him lol. So go for the Oem pen/ brush it was just under $20 it will take care of that chip no sweat
