Hi all! New ram guy to the forums. So I removed my active grill shutters on my 2014 Ram 1500 to make room to install a train horn kit. I live in Pennsylvania and the winters here can get down to -10...which isn't very often. Wondering if I should invest in a cold weather grill cover for the winter season or do you guys think that's not necessary? Thanks!

Not necessary. Unless its diesel youll be fine. My 5.7 always started up and warmed no problem in below 0 weather.

I use a cover on mine, not only because I removed the shutter, but because I have a 180 deg thermostat and when it's real cold it was hard to get the cabin hot. With the cover it solve that issue. Someone locally was selling his brand new one for 20$, so it was worth a try and a lot simpler than swapping thermostat.
