Covering the license plate holes in the front of a Laramie

I bought 3/8" grommets from Lowes. You have to bend out the tabs just a hair but they fit great and look a lot better than 4 holes.

Item 139385 HM 3/8" Chrome Hole Plug $0.98 each at my store.

So how did you do this? Mine still has the ugly white plastic screw holders, and I have often thought about doing something to them.

Not sure about that... mine just had 4 holes. The black plastic piece that holds the plate has 4 molded clips that snap into the holes.

SO if you can get the white pieces out and see what size hole then just get matching grommets. They just "snap" in.

i did this when my truck was new so that was like 6 yrs ago. you can pop that plastic piece out. dont quote me on this but i could swear the holes in my bumper were square. no matter cause that little gromet still fits

I bought the same chrome plugs from the local home depot and they rusted real bad after one winter. So I now have stainless steel button head screws in the holes.
