Ok. So been wanting to do this for awhile and now i have all the parts i wanted so i started the processed. Baking the headlights is not too bad at all. First remove move all covers and wires . set oven at 275 and bake for 10 to 12 mins. Lay down a towel and have acouple flat heads or prytool ready. Pull them out and start prying first working the glue loose from edges. If u have to place headlight back into oven for 4 mins to get glue back up to temps. I found out that starting in the center of the top or bottom was better then the edges like everyone says. Work ur way all around until. U can pull it off . anyone have any tips or u have questions ask. Im just going off info i found on net. b879a852453516d88622ea2ec7b28775.jpgf39059f45fa318ee3699f582fcfedd4c.jpgfeab7e2917df6c90f3b25e6648b65f24.jpg

One thing i should have done while lights were still hot was pry out all the glue. Ill habe to reheat them and do it later. It was 3 am and i was tired from a night of cruising with friends. Put aways. I bought some primer and adhersion promoter. Oh and sand paper. Oh also Bought some sand paper. 1000 grit and 2000 grit. Not sure on colors might to body match on most of the chrome and rest black. Kind of like these headlightee1f95e15a29553fc3d27b2a20c0063e.jpg69c34ba8d1012737d663d56a87182a4f.jpg

Surprised how well the 1000 grit scuffed out the chrome. Kind of a machine look to it now. One piece down and this one to go then one light will be ready for paintbdd63a75c5da396cdd4fb143c426a68a.jpgb8eac161134c1fe1b13b43dcd87d97bd.jpg

Just a little update got some painting done. Might do another coat on the yellow. Might wet sand it alittle the adhesion promoter made some crazy crack marks. Also repainted my emblem with body matches paintb1776552ebf1a5038d5be931fec817bd.jpgf58a8746aa70f6df17751dad25cf0840.jpg94b004e5f07a9efa090ac38106377d7a.jpg5f8750a82d938fe0e21dcd78f15dea35.jpg

Those pods are SAE compliant as auxiliary driving (fog) lights and absolutely do not belong as your primary lights. Like @Demon-HeMi said, please don't use those as your low beams. You're creating a hazard for you and everyone else on the road.

lol you guys must not have read that link he posted. The rigid s are dot certified to be used as primary lights. They emit a low flat beam, unlike most cubes which emit a big pattern

If the yellow paint is glossy enough for what you want I don't see a reason to clear coat them since they will get sealed up and not exposed to the elements

The emblem would benefit from a good clear coat
