I took my old passenger cv axle out of my 2013 ram because it was broken, I can't not get my new one to slide in over the snap ring was! I know I must be doing something wrong but I don't know what it is ,please help

It is difficult especially with old snap rings. if you dont get it to snap, you ill have premature seal wear on that side. when I repalced my seal, I just popped the backside of the part that goes over the axle stud and it popped right on.
