I have some major rock chips/road rash on my painted front bumper on my '12 1500. I'm trying to decide the best way to deal with these. I know this is a norm for painted bumpers but it drives me nuts that the truck looks so good with the exception of the front.

I was contemplating plastidipping the whole thing white and then hitting it with the glossifier. That being said, I know the dip won't hold up that well and I'm afraid of the color just being too far off from factory.

Can touch up paint handle sections this big? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Ignore the bugs, spring time has finally arrived in Montana!ae3ec56277bc032d3caacda3b9c2d65c.jpg

I'm planning on having color-matched Line-X done to mine. Going to go from the bumper down the sides below the lower feature line. Line-X basically guaranteed it from fading, with free fixes. This'll help fix my rock chip problem from front to back. Might be worth looking into.

Ya I wouldn't mess with plastidip on that.

You could but you'd see lots of imperfections...unless your ok with that.

If this was my bumper, I would repaint it. (Edited out my comment about it being more than road rash. I see you just purchased the truck).

Plastidip with glossifyer will still not get you close to the result you're looking for. For the amount of surface area you have with no paint, I would just repaint it.
