Awesome mod!! This is the first truck I added it to. Bought it for $35 with free shipping. I'll never own another truck without it. Also, DeeZee, awesome company to deal with. Customer service is awesome. Like an idiot when installing, I put it on in a rush and didn't even bother looking at the instructions. An 8 year old could install this after reading their instruction booklet. So without thinking about it and rushing, I put it on the side of the tailgate in which pops off for tailgate removal. Finish install let the thing open up and SLAM my tailgate rips off the truck. Puts a nice nick in my two week old paint as the tailgate assist rips it back into the truck.
Well anyways since the insert for the bolt to thread into is a one time use deal, I call DeeZee to buy a new one and put it on the right side of the truck. Tell the customer service rep what happened, she laughs and says you wouldn't believe how many times I've heard this. She then says "So, you receieved your ez down assist without a hardware package, I'm terribly sorry, we'll overnight that to your address free of charge." She said thanks for my business and hung up. Best customer service I've had!
