Long story short... Low speed back up into a short brick structure corner. My fault.

Is the bumper fixable?

Everything is fixable.
My advice - buy one used. Graigslist / used car parts sites / salvage yards ...
Will be cheaper.

Cheaper than fixing the dent?

I bought my rear bumper for $100 off craigslist and it was like brand new.

You would have to remove the bumper and have a panel beater hammer it out back to form. (This would be expensive )and then you'd most likely need to have the chrome redone as it will crack and peel.

Take the others advice and try and get a used one or a take off

I did the same thing, put a dent in my rear bumper. I bought a '16 take-off for $100 bucks on eBay. Was a hell of a lot cheaper than getting a new black bumper and having it painted.

If you have any friends at an auto body shop. I would atleast have them look at it. See if it can be tapped back out.

I talked to a guy at the body shop. Body shops don't do steel apparently.

A bumper specialist quoted me 150 but I'm scared the chrome may flake. And for that price, a takeoff is probably the way to go.

Just rock it man. The time you spend pounding it out and dismount/mounting it isn't worth the trouble.

If you really want it fixed, sit and wait it out till one comes around on cl.

Not in a hurry, it's a truck. I'm going to level it and tune it first.

Where are you located? I'll be selling mine in the near future, switching to a painted bumper.

Quite a ways away from you. I'm in the DFW area.

My wife and I drive up to Ohio every fall though, but even then, it's as far east as you can drive on 70 and still be in OH.

Did the same thing to mine. Bought a take off from Craigslist for the 50 bucks.

Deals are put there if you take your time.
