Had a productive Saturday..put my catch can on..plasti-dipped my antenna for the hell of it and went ahead and tried out slapping on my own bed liner. For $60 and a few hours of work I'm very pleased with the turn out so far..yes when up close you can tell I did it myself with a can of roll on stuff but for a tenth of the cost and the satisfaction of doing it myself I'm fine with that! Needs to sit a few days and completely cure and I will get a better idea of how well it turned out and get better pics.

Looks great. Did you scratch up the paint before applying the bedliner?

Thanks guys! Yes I just used a scuff pad and marked it all up..no need to sand..paint is the best primer..then washed thoroughly and blew it dry with the air compressor. I used duplicolor bedliner. I was hesitant as well but moved a washer and dryer the other night and ouch did it get scratched and I'm not about to let this brand new truck get a rusty bed!

Thanks for the heads up! Not sure if I'll have to worry about fading yet seeing as how summer is over. Winter will be a good test for how well it holds up also so I will report back on that after some time has passed. Out of curiosity, how much did you use and what color was the trick?

Looks great!

I tried this with my Dakota and it looked amazing, until I used the bed. Then it just scrapped off whatever I slid across my bed. I scuffed it and prepped it, but it still peeled when I slid things across the bed. Ended up lookin' worse than the scratched up bed I was trying to cover up. Hope it holds well for you.

Looks great. If you added a tonneau, and a rubber bed mat, I'm sure it would last quite some time. Bed mat are very cheap, and well worth it IMO. I have one on top of my BedRug.

I had heard good things about Raptor lining. No way would I pay for what LineX or Rhino costs. Most DIY liners are getting good reviews.

I've sprayed probably a dozen of the raptor liner kits and they have yet to fail me. For the price and the fact it looks just like LineX you can't beat it! If you want it thicker just buy 2 kits and your still at about half the price or less of a LineX spray in.
