Just looking for feedback from other members, do I need to add a rubber gasket or silicon caulk to my 3rd brake light if its not leaking? I wasnt sure if maybe Ram fixed the problem yet? I have a 2016 model. Thanks

No not all leak. My 05 and 11 never leaked. I have not had my 16 long enough to say it won't leak

My 2016 didn't leak with the factory light and still doesn't leak with the Spyder auto light.

I have a 13 express with factory light. No leaks yet. I have changed the bulbs so I would think if it was going to leak it would have by now.

If you look at the seals on the newer models they are a little more heavy duty than the old foam seals

I have a 2014 and never had an issue for 3 yrs. I changed bulbs recently and for peace of mind, went ahead and pulled the foam off and replaced with rubber weatherstrip.

Yeah my 17 already has a rubber gasket so I'm hoping I'll never have this issue

Guess i need to quit being lazy and pull the light off to check the gasket. Kindof silly that these company's cant fix a simple problem though! Thanks for the comments

Oh I'll chime in too....my 2011 I bought used had the leak and water-stained headliner in the back. Some black RTV sealant took care of the leak and I cleaned the water stains easily with upholstery cleaner like they were never there. No problems ever since.
