Don't they sit lower than the top of the truck. Like eye height, if you can't see a roof that low you shouldn't be driving! lol Just messing with you.

OEM antennae is 1 or 2 inches above your roof line. Hence why using it as a low ceiling detector. If the OEM antennae hits the ceiling, you know it's too low to fit in. ;)

Now, I agree... they look like sh*t on our trucks and I want to replace mine with a smaller one. I had a .50 cal version saved on my Amazon page to buy, but they ran out of stock. Grrr.

Wow! I ordered my stubby. Looks great but I don't know how they can actually call it an antenna. I only get about 5% of the radio stations now compared to what I had with the factory antenna. Luckily I never listen to FM Radio. I'm keeping the factory antenna in the truck just in case I need to receive an FM signal.

What people are saying about you loosing decent reception on the radio is true, I changed mine and although I gained 75hp+ from reducing the drag my reception went to ****, hey but it looks way cool even though I only get 3 stations now! That and my catch can are good for 100hp + together!

lol nice! But I didn't think the reason for using the catch can was to gain hp, rather just keep the oil from going in and getting burned off? No?

Walmart sells an 8 inch black rubber antenna, works almost as well as the stock whip. Car wash safe, too.
$10.

I really only dislike my factory antenna like $4 worth... I don't dislike it $26 worth...

now you just have to decide on ricer blue, ricer red, or "doms charger" Black...

lol how bad can these be?

You mean this one, had it for two years and it worked fine on my 2014, but i will say that at the end of 2 years it was quite faded

I cannot... I live too far away from the signal and I really like listening to the morning radio show.

So, just got my antenna in today. Tried to install it, but none of the adapters fit the threads for the antenna base on the truck. How are you guys putting these on? Am I missing something? I have 2014, but wouldn't think that would matter.

I like radio too much to lose reception. I've got the free Sirius for now, but will NOT pay when the free runs out, they have such a ****** way of doing business and want too much damned money. I'm not "renting" music.

When I grew up in Mesa we had the best "free form / open format / underground" radio on the Planet.

I'm hoping that market opens back up.
