Does anyone have any recommendations for a clear and/or transparent door handle cup protectant film/vinyl? I want to prevent any unnecessary scratches from fingernails and rings when opening the door.

I found a few on Amazon, but the reviews were not great and they had low stars.

3m makes a product for this purpose. Most auto parts stores carry it. It's a thicker clear vinyl. I'm going to do my door sills once it warms up.

Thanks. I looked online and at my local auto parts store. None of them are for the design of my door handle cup.

So, instead of spending all my time looking for the exact one, I made the design and used my wife's cricut machine to cut it on a transparent vinyl.

It fits well, but I have to keep playing with applying it to get out all the bubbles. I used a soft guitar pic to help, but there are still some air bubbles.

Here is before.

Exactly what I was gonna suggest....simple DIY out of some thin, clear laminate will do the job. :happy107:

I probably should've mentioned that it would have to be cut to fit.

If you sprayed a little soapy water then applied the vinyl you can easily work the bubbles out. The soap and water will dry once the bubbles have been squeegeed out. A bit of heat also helps from a heat gun on low

Glad you got it. It's the same principle for any decal you want to put on without getting air bubbles under it.
