DRL Activated Projector Headlight LEDs

I finally got the local dealer and had the ambers activated. Code LM5. Did not take them long.

Yeah, seems like some dealerships can get them activated and some cannot, even with specific detailed instructions. Doesn't make sense.... accept just plain incompetence I guess.

Until Modell year 2014 it can be possible with the code's. 2015 and 16 you need a special programmer.

Mine is a 2015 1500 Sport.

It took them maybe 20 minutes including moving vehicles to get mine into the bay. They overcharged me but I was there and they said we can do it. So I jumped.

I still don't understand why people want these.

That was the first mod I did too my grand prix in 200 was pull the DRL fuse. lol

Yes. Better visibility in traffic. I do not speed so better visibility to the police is moot

I like it because it is the factory LEDS. It looks clean and gives the vehicle better visibility in good weather. Also it did not change any of the standard gizmos. Like auto lights in the dark, auto high beams and lights with wipers features.

I guess to each their own.

Strange, on my 2016 ram sport they made the DLR the projector headlights. Wonder if they just chose the wrong code?

nope, as i wrote, it is also possible to program the DRL, but since modelyear 2015 it does not work with a salescode...

My lights were also programmed as your´s (dimmed to the low beam´s).

Now i get new headlights with HID and white/amber switchbacks. So i deleted the DRL from the low beam´s. I want to have the DRL on the white switchback´s.

Not sure I understand this post. Mine is a 2015 and code LM5 set the ambers on.

I do not know when RAM changed this, but something seems to be a surprise
