Pictured is a headlight on my 2013 Big Horn. I like the look of the headlight itself (just wish I could do away with the orange marker) but the light is an awful yellow light that isn't very bright.

Anyone know of the easiest way to get a whiter light, like 4-5000k, without changing the actual headlight itself? Is it as easy as changing out the bulb?

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!

You could throw in some hids or leds. Both will get you the result you want.

^ that.

I just gave up on leds (fkin nightmare) and went back to halogen.. Soo much easier/less stressful.

Silverstar ultras (I think)... Not the zxe, but they do have the blue tint on the bulb, throw way more light than stock, and look white.

They look white when you're looking at the truck, the light they throw isn't much whiter than stock, but it is way brighter.

Read that a few times and you'll get it.

Do you have the exact info on these bulbs? I've been looking to change mine

Philips Crystal Vision Ultra worked well for me. Much whiter and brighter.

I've got Silverstar Ultras in my Charger. I refuse to drive it in the dark because of them. They are whiter than the standard lamps that were in there, but the output distance is so poor that at 45mph you are traveling farther than the lights shine...

Maybe you need to do some aiming adjustments.

Can you just open the hood and easily swap bulbs after you pull some plastic around the radiator or is there more to it ?

Have to pull out the whole headlight housing.

+1. And to pull out the headlight housings, you have to pull the grille off. One of the sillier things about this truck, just to change headlight bulbs.

Yea, it's pretty stupid that it's easier and more convenient to change a tire on the side of the road than a headlight bulb.

I am happy with the zXe bulbs

Have them lows, highs and fogs

White light and superior to the stock bulb despite there is no where to go but up

You can pull the headlights without taking the grille off but taking the grille off doesn't take that long.

Thanks for all the info guys. I've got to pull my grill off for a couple other projects I'm doing, so I think I may throw in those Phillips or Silverstars and see how I like em.

Just went from LED's to Silverstars (LED's flickered. leave me alone) they aren't quite as bright as the LED bulbs but I also have to re-adjust the headlights again. Still way better than stock
