Thanks for the info man. I am looking to level and get a more aggressive tire and was looking to see sizes that work for people.

Can I ask....

Why are so many installing 2500 flares onto the 1500? Cheaper? More accessible? I want flares soon too but just trying to determine which oem to get.

Op, hope you don't mind the question. I think this still applies to you as well.

Before I lifted my truck, I put the pocket style flares on. They aren't the Bushwacker brand but are a set off of ebay that I purchased (DT Moto Fender Flares). Here's what they look like with stock wheels/tires:

I believe some go for the 2500 flare for the clean look and because they don't stick out very far. It really depends on the look that you want for your truck. :)

Now for me I would want an oem close to the body look flare wise. I don't plan on lifting, nor am I getting wider wheels, so these would be just to clean up the fender wells. :)

Adam,
Are you implying the 2500 oem don't protrude as far as the 1500 oem flares?

from what i read, and please anyone jump in ..... The 2500 flares are used on the 1500 rams because the factory 1500 flares look awkward with the plastic bumpers ? if you notice the pics on RUSSlRam his go down to where the chrome bumper should be. The sports dont have suck a separation ( I have the Sport) ... Now i dont know this for sure but hoping someone can jump in as I too am looking for a set much like the OEM style.

That's is exactly why people with the sport or express get the 2500 flares. In the picture below you can see how it looks

those are 2500 flares correct ? did you get them from a dealer?

Yes they are 2500 flares. I got them off eBay years ago and put them on my 2011 sport. Then when I traded that truck in I took them off and had them painted for this truck

Adam

couple questions for ya.. how are the quality of those flares you got? do you have any issues with them?

and, they look like they DONT stick out as far as the BW flares. do you have any thoughts on this? im looking for a set of pocket style but i feel like the BW's will over shadow my rims too much

im running 20x9 with -12mm offset and im looking for something that will cover them perfectly. added a photo of my truck so you can see what im looking for

**EDIT. not tryng to hijack the post. just thought this would be a good place to ask as i am also not lifting my truck. just lvling w/ Billsteins set @ 2.1"
