Hi all,

I have a couple questions. One, I was going down an old forest service road and it was quite tight - got some scratches on my back left quarter panel. I have attached a photo - is there any way to remove these? They're not too deep. Maybe buff them out?

And I want to plasti dip my chrome slats on my 2014 Sport grill. Can I do this without removing the grill? Any tips?

I would try HD SPEED with a green 5.5 foam pad

I'm not a professional detailer so I wouldn't take that on myself.

I'd get an opinion from one though as to how much success they would have in fixing that for you. I've had detailers in my area paint correct some pretty awful looking paint.

Check the depth of the scratch with you fingernail. Run your fingernail across the scratch, if it catches on the scratch then it probably will not "buff" out. If it doesn't catch then it probably can be corrected. If you try to correct them please remember use the LEAST abrasive product first and if you need more "cut" you can always go to the next more abrasive product. Just don't start the process with 80 grit sand paper to begin with. You can always take it to a professional detailer and have it checked out and to get a price on correction if it can be corrected.

Yes.

Carefully tape off what you don't want sprayed.

I would just buff that with a light to medium polish from meguires, followed by wax. Probably wont get all the scratches out, but will look a lot better

As far as Plasti Dip goes. It's pretty easy to get off at areas as long as it's a heavy coats. For the grill I would stick cardboard behind it and tape off the areas behind your grill as well as tape off the line for what you don't want painted on the exterior. Do a Mist coat first and then do your six to eight inch medium Coats after, I advise 5 coats
