Well my pod light bracket didn't hold up being mounted on the axle. Time to take them off...

That's what I was worried about on your setup. I think if you're not going to flush mount them, then on the outer edges of the hitch. Just my opinion.

I did mine in the summer when I got a new rear bumper then I cut the holes first, had it painted then undercoated the hell out of the inside of it. I then wired them to my back-up wires in the tail lamps-ground to the box and power to the white w/orange stripe if I remember right.
