Hello all,

New to the forum, just purchased a 2014 big horn 1500. I'm trying to get rid of the chrome, and replace with color matched. With that being said, will express/Sport front bumpers fit my model? I noticed a little difference in appearance, and was wondering if they mount the same. Thanks in advance!

If you're going to convert to the sport bumper you will need the Impact Bar, Energy Absorber, Air Deflector and of course the bumper skin. I recently did that to my Laramie.

Check here for parts/fasteners needed (scroll down to the correct bumper) and get them from either RockAuto or eBay.

In the attached picture I hadn't yet made the cutouts in the black insert for my tow hooks so it's not installed.

That's a good looking truck! About how much did the additional parts run you, minus the bumper skin if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks! I want to say it was around $400-$500 or so...I mainly closed my eyes and ordered lol. There's a few other cheap parts to get like small fasteners/screws but can mostly re-use what was already on the truck. I knew I was going to do this to the truck since the day I bought it (2 months ago). On eBay you can find a company that will pre-paint the front bumper skin using your stock paint color code.

I'm in the same boat, bought mine a month ago knowing I'd change the chrome out. I was planning on going the eBay route for the bumper skin. Is that what you did? If so, how was the quality of the bumper and paint? Where can I find a parts list of the stuff you listed above?

Yes, got my bumper skin off of eBay and the quality/fitment was good.

This is there I went for parts list (scroll to the correct bumper):

painted Laramie sport bumper, but could be done on chrome as well, they just need to sand it up and then spray....

I went with the Outdoorsman front bumper (comes in gloss black) and then had it painted to match the truck. Still need to do the parking sensors and inserts......forgot about those...

Interesting, I was thinking of having my chrome bumper wrapped but Linex would hold up to our ****** winters better I think. I just assumed that chrome could not be Linex'd.

Just take a DA to it. If you prep it you won't have to pay the outrageous cost lined will charge you for prep.

Anyone know what a fair price would be for paint matched Linex, front and rear bumpers?

I paid $500, but that was me removing bumpers. It will be a lot more if they have to tape up the truck... Not sure about the other manufacturers of spray, but linex has UV protection in their tinted spray.
