2010 2500 4x4 what is the black wire/tube attached to brake line near wheel that looks to terminate inside wheel hub behind rotor?

It could be the ABS wheel sensors.

Sensor meaning wire? Asking because I had brake hanging up and had started to melt this.

Yes it is a wire that is shrouded in heavy plastic.
