no harness is needed.

They will bolt right in. No issues with fitting.

Functionality - the quads, when installed into a truck that originally was equipped with duals - when you hit the highs, the lows go off. So......well, yeah.

Do you use your highs much?

I think there is not much difference so you can purchase quad headlights.

That would be a purely cosmetic mod IMO.
The light output is downright pathetic from the quads.

Seriously? Woww, even with Silverstar Ultras in the quads they're barely even acceptable, let alone decent, and the stock bulbs are a friggin joke. Can't wait till I get the new ones, got some JJ's on the way now

I find it really sad that with regular (Non-ultra) Silverstars 9005 in the fogs, they are brighter, reach farther, and have a wider beam than my low beams. Seriously wondering what they were thinking when they decided the output was ok on these trucks. At least a simple HID drop in kit wouldn't be as bad in these lights as most reflector housings, for what they are, they have a pretty sharp cutoff

yeah they really didnt work hard on light output with them, i dont have fogs or anything in my bumper so you can imagine it was fairly scary driving any faster then like 60 with just my headlights as light haha

Yea I agree. I hated HIDS before I got into the set I have now. I felt almost forced to because it was way to dangerous to drive around with what they had stock. I went to some Sylv ZXEs and they helped, but not much... 55w HIDS later with projectors man I have had ZERO problems seeing. Never touched my hi beams since I went to HIDS not once.

Which set of HID's are you running? Are you not concerned with running a 55W kit?

I have a set of Digital 55W 5K HID's in my quads...no problems in the last 8 months or so. A phenomenal stop gap before upgrading to JJ specials!

Only reason I ask is because I heard about issues with 55W kits. Some vendors sell kits with 35W bulbs and 55W ballasts and you end up overdriving the bulb which leads to premature failure and you put more strain on your vehicle's factory wiring over time. 55W kits also produce a lot more heat and extra glare. I know that car manufacturers that offer HID headlights all use 35W.

The kits that I sell (I'm a reseller through Retro-Solutions) utilize a 55W bulb and ballast, not overdriving a 35W bulb.

No extra heat, no extra glare.
