I've had my truck just over a month now and I haven't done a lot of night time driving until the other night. I swear my reverse lights put out as much light as my heads do.

I want to upgrade but don't want to do led or hid conversions. Is there a noticeable advantage of upgrading to a white light instead of the yellow? What about h11 vs h9?

I work 3rd shift and drive at night must of the time. Don't have fogs either. Look at the Silvania Silverstar ZxE's bulbs. Noticeable improvement considering its not an hid/led/projector conversion.

If you do a search there are a few good threads that talk about using different bulbs and how people feel they tested. The H9 conversion is the best way to go if not doing led or HID.

I upgraded my quad headlights to Philips H9 and it made a significant difference.
H9's are 65 watt vs the 55 of the H11.
Just a minor modification of the bulb necessary.

Wouldn't the HIR 9011 upgrade yield better results?
2300 lumens

I just purchased a 2016 Ram Sport with projectors. One of my previous cars had 9005 bulbs, I upgraded to the Philips 9011 HIR (modified housing to fit) made a HUGE difference.

Where I am happy with the output of the factory bulb, I just CAN'T STAND the yellow tint. If only someone made a bulb that was pure white or even a hint of light blue that could replace the factory bulb like a Silverstar but last more than 150 hours...

In my previous car I ran silverstar zxe's for 3 years, and logged two hours a day run time on Em and they never burnt out.

Although the yellowish output of the factory bulbs suck, if you really want to see well buy some 3000k hid's. They are pure yellow like fogs, but oh man you can see great! By nature our eyes see yellow better than white.

I just want white at the least. Do the ZXE's have a yellow tint or a white tint? How does it compare to factory?

The zxe's are white, and we're better than the factory bulbs in my camry. The factory bulbs in the 16 projectors are 1860 lumens, more than the equivalent 9005 zxe,s.

I don't know what truck you have as I'm on my phone but just some info
