So I took my headlights out to install some switch back led signals and I was wondering if anyone else has a difference in the way the passenger and driver side headlight is seated?

Id be more interested to find a truck that did have panels matching up perfectly, all around.. That is normal 99% of the time, on any mid class vehicle.

IMO

Someone will have advice for you. I do not though, other than adjusting your fender, or maybe there's some way to use washers or something for your headlight.

Good luck.

My advice would be to ignore it. You could adjust your fenders a little, but if your other body panels are sitting well with each other, (hood, fenders, cab, etc...) and your headlights are adjusted properly, you could chase that misalignment forever. These are mass-produced items rather than hand-made bespoke autos. Some sacrifices are made to keep costs reasonable.

And I probably never would have noticed if I hadn't pulled the headlights out

just a quick easy think would be to make sure the headlights are both seated and tightened properly. Maybe chasing smoke, but wouldn't hurt to double check.
