I think I'm getting the black satin 22x10 hellcats for my xmass gift. I went with 285/45/22 tires with TPMS. I know its going to look weird given the stock ride height. Whats the best/cheapest option to lowering the truck. Ive seen 2/4 2/6 etc... but lowering causes issues with the suspension and knocking etc.

I wish I could have found a 305/60/22 or something close to help fill the wheel gap i know I'm going to have.

That's only 0.9 shorter than stock, so it might look okay with just a rear level. I would've preferred a 2/4 but went with a 2" rear level due to all the speed wobble and other suspension complaints from 2/4 crew cab guys.

You can get a 305x45x22 which ifilles the wheel wells up better. The 285 is a little smaller but if you do a 2/4 drop looks fine. As far as drop, from what I found the BellTech 2/4 seems to be the best way to go. It is the closest to a true 2/4 drop, the McGauphy's 2/4 is a 1 1/4' front and 3 1/2' rear drop. With either one I would recommend a Hellwig rear swaybar and Spohn adjustable panhard bar. Also get a shorter rear shock either BellTech (shock sucks but it is shorter or get a custom built rear shock like QA1 definitely not cheap $160 each but worth the money). If you tow or put heavier objects in the bed of your truck I would add a helper bag kit to the lower kit also. They are inexpensive like $100 if I remember correct. Search the forums there is a lot of post about this. Or talk to Moe's he can help with the lower kit, sway bar, lanyard and BellTech shocks. The QA1 shocks will need to be special ordered, part# TS905 rear and TS514 front if you want to upgrade the fronts later. If you want the shock in the middle of the travel range use this part number for extensions PN# 9029-163 per QA1. But I have read of a number of people just running the TS905 shocks without any issues. I hope this helps.

I'd like to add these to mine RC, but I don't think they would like right until it gets lowered. Too much gap.

Ugh. Well I got my rims and tires for xmass. 285/45r22 as the wife got them all mounted and balanced for me. I would have liked to do the 305/45r22 tho.

Now I'm stuck with lowering or not to lower. Too many issues with lowering. But getting new tires and paying for removal and mourning and balancing is out of the question.
