Hood wrap

I believe you're completely over thinking this. I would paint the whole hood body color. Then black vinyl the top.

Only thing I can see happening with the matte black hood is that whenever people on the street see it, they're just going to think it's an unpainted replacement hood with a sticker stuck on top.

If you like it, that's great. But just ready to start hearing "So when are you going to get it painted?"

Ended up just getting it painted, but I'm not home from work until next Wednesday!! It's going to drive me nuts I want to see it on there, had my dad pick it up from paint and I'm trying to convince him to install so I can see what she looks like

I think a matte black hood wrap with a carbon fiber roof wrap would look awesome. No rice at all. Most of all of the big 3 domestic performance muscle cars come with actual carbon fiber accents in the higher level trims.
