Hey,

Haven't been on much lately but would like some input on this. Now from research I know hearing a clunk when driving is normal but it still ****** me off since the truck has about 6,500 miles on it. 2016 RAM 1500.

It is happens the most when I go in reverse or when I turn where I kind of go over a bump. Sometimes the clunk is louder than other times, and it's kind of hard to hear where it comes from, but it seems like somewhere in the back. Still under warranty and I don't really care if the dealer says it's normal - I didn't buy it with that noise and don't expect it to make it after 6,500 miles. Any input is appreciated!:)

Yeah it bugs me. Going to take it to the authorized BDS suspension shop that put the lift on and have them take a look before I take it to my dealer

That's what I was thinking. Clearance issues for what? Tires and wheels?

I have the same wear marks, it seems to be pretty common for anyone that installs bilstein 5100's. It occurs when you turn to lock and hit a bump or curb while locked.

Those marks are on that lower control arm- the looks like u need to notch that lower control arm or notch that horn off the back side of the knuckle- Or buy after market lower control arms.

But these marks probably don't have anything to do with the clunking noise. The noise is coming from the rear I believe. Mostly in reverse and especially when turning. Just started a few weeks ago

Hey longhorn I contacted zone which bds happens to make it's gonna be a normal thing buddy is the answer I got from them. Since there stoppers are metal there's gonna be that contact between the a arm and the stoppers depending on the degree of turn you hit it's gonna clunk. Mine went away after a year or so after the stoppers wore down the arm a bit and I also shaved my stoppers flat that helped too.

Thanks man. I'm not too worried about the marks, I'm more worried about the clunking noise coming when I drive or go in reverse. Sometimes it even comes when I'm parked on a hill facing downwards and go in reverse up the hill to turn around. Any thoughts..?
