Great quality product and install is literally 2 screws and a plug. Easy. Still have to get some night shots but the middle lights up red for the break and on either side is white for the cargo lights. Very bright even looking at it in the daytime so interested to see it at night. Don't mind the silly stickers, my pregnant fiance refused to let me post the pics with her "looking how she does" so that was my fix haha! I have an order in for Smoked LED tail lights from Spyder but the company I ordered from has them on back order until May 31st. They were on sale for a great price and he was willing to give me the sale price still as long as I was willing to wait so I did!

LOL :)
I need to get better pictures but man it looks good. It blends in with the black paint so well it's almost like it isn't there in the right light and angle. Can't wait to match the tails to it. Had to go Spyder for them though, wasn't prepared to spend the $ Recon wants for theirs. If I end up unsatisfied with the Spyder's, I'll sell them and get the Recon, but I don't think that'll happen.

you do realize that Recon and Spyder are the same products right? Another member literally took apart the same set of tail lights...one set from Spyder, the other from Recon. They were IDENTICAL right down to the motherboard inside the units. Only difference, one said Recon the other said Spyder. Oh, ya and the price for the Recons are 3x as much as the Spyders. But hey, I'm not knockin ya, if you got the extra cash flow laying around that you want to pay 3x as much for the same product Spyder sells, then go for it my friend! :word:

And also if you search on here, I put up proof! i bought a set of aftermarket projector headlights on ebay which I believe were the Spyder brand...I saw the EXACT same set on recons page for $900!! I paid right at 300 for the Spyder set.

I bought Spyder and complained about the price of Recon, even specifically gave that reason as an example for getting the Spyder's.

Take it off and use RTV silicone if you don't want water blasting into the back of your cab like I did!

So of course it has to rain tonight...I tried...How the hell do you take pictures of bright lights anyway lol. Only thing I've encountered so far that could use a fix is the cargo lights need aimed down a little. Man are they bright though!

Love the smoked 3rd brake light. No silicone needed on my install. Plus it rains plenty in Seattle and zero leaks

Thank you guys for the heads up on your experience with leaks. I actually did have that problem with my stock light a while back. I fixed it by scraping off the factory mold and adding foam door weatherstripping. Hopefully I won't have an issue but I already have the weather stripping and it'll take 5 minutes to do so better safe than sorry I suppose. Gives me something to do quick while I'm off for the weekend.

I didn't notice it for about a month, it was leaking in the corners and I noticed water on my seat after a wash. It was very subtle and you'd never notice it unless you really look.

never use silicone against paint! Over time it will rust...silicone eats through the paint..

Agreed! Installed mine in December of '15 and have had zero leaks. However, I may silicone it being it's been in the weather for a year and a half.

Not angry at all, was actually awkwardly confused on how to feel. Wasn't sure if I should be angry or feel bad. You tried really hard to be a troll and insult me trying to make yourself feel superior but all you did was regurgitate what I already said while making it obvious you didn't even read it. You got swatted like the insignificant insect that you are. Buzz off little fly :)
