Looks good.

Did you notice it weighing the front end down at all? Adding rake?

Not at all. My truck is not leveled yet anyway. I plan on doing a lift next year. But honestly, it probably really only adds 50-75 pounds over the stock bumper. The OEM bumper is still made of a heavy metal. Probably steal. And all the plastic trim too. It doesn't even impact driving characterists either. At least from what I can tell. But hey, I am no Mike Levine (pickup trucks.com).

I email them and this is what i got back .....
Hi Kenneth, there is one front base bumper for each year, make and model truck or SUV and you can add any of the 16 different bars from the 2 Grille Guard pages of our web site , just tell me a name of the bar that you like and I can give you a cost of the bar as well , but for now I will tell you about the front base bumper , it will be all made of Deer Splitting 3/16th plate steel and will come ready to install with our black shield paint , the winch mount , the D rings are welded inside and out , also it will have 4, five inch light hole buckets with a tab so you can install extra lights ,,,,,,,,,,,the normal cost is 1500 plus 350 shipping in the USA but until Sunday our sale makes the cost 1200 with only 200 dollars in shipping cost in the USA to go right to your House or Business address Plus No Tax in the Continental USA, so your total for the front base bumper is only 1400 dollars with shipping included and ready to install and it will take about 4 weeks to be made and shipped because we make 40 to 50 bumpers a week, thanks and let me know if we can help outfit your '15 Ram 1500, just give me a call with any questions or to order...

Nice, look like you will a tad better deal than what I got. I got the defender 4. It is the base bumper with 4 added bars.

So, got my truck upgraded with some wheels and tires. Figured I would revisit this thread and post some photos better show casing the bumper.

That thing is beefy as hell. It is screaming for a winch and round lights too.

I had some round KC lights. I just recently sold them to upgrade.

I bought VisionX 4.5" light cannons. Unfortunately, they do not line up perfectly and I cut the mounts off and made my own. The 4.5" light itself works great, it's the base stand that pushes the light up to high slightly past the 5" holes. But, the light cannons have a huge following and I wanted to run them.
Light cannons:

(With one light installed each side, with new mount, fits perfect).
There are not many round light options. Iron Bulls website recommends the Baja Designs Fuego HID 35w (no more 50w) and the PIAA whatever model. I didn't want to run an HID light and I didn't want to run a PIAA light (ew). I would highly consider the Baja designs XL80 or the XL sport. Expensive but Baja designs makes some of the best LED lighting out. Should fit great in that bumper.

In a year, I will do another review. I will just add onto this thread.

So, I week or two ago was exactly a year since I installed my Iron Bull defender 4 bumper. As promised, I am revisiting a year later to give an updated review.

Here is the bumper a year ago:

Here is the bumper as of today. There are some bugs on it, and a very very light dust. I took the kids to the park and snapped a few photos while my wife loaded the kids hahaha. However, for the most part, pretty clean.
Bumper now:

The "black shield" coating has held up great. No rust or peeling. Still looks as if I just unpackaged it. Which is sweet. Bumper still sits completely level and the bolts have never rattled loose. Thing is ROCK solid. Very pleased with my purchase. Maybe some time next year I will upgrade the rear bumper. I will revisit this thread again at the two year mark, hopefully I remember, and give another update.

Thanks :)

Pulled the bumper back off. I wanted to set up my light mounts better. I had something in place but I wasn't happy. I reached out to a local guy and he professionally fabricated some heavy duty steel mounts and welded it in nicely.

Above are the new light mounts welded in. These mounts allow me to run the VisionX Light Cannons.

Needs a winch. I don't care if you never use it. That hole is bugging me lol.

That hole is bugging me too haha. It's a work in progress. I was thinking about maybe putting another light bar in there. But, I am not sure if would be overkill and I don't want to be that guy with a million light bars haha. When I figure something out, I will post it. :)
