So, I passed 1000 miles over the weekend. The tires seem to be quieting down a bit with some miles but not sure if I'm just getting used to them or not. Truck also seems to be handling them a little better with some miles. Not sure if the programming just had to relearn or what but truck has been shifting to 6th and MDS coming on like before so maybe overall MPG will go up to where I was before. I never had much if any noticeable drop I'm just saying there was a small one based on the truck noticeably working a little harder to move down the road (mpg never really left the range I've already been experiencing, just seems like it moved a little lower in that range).
Now for the most impressive part. So yesterday one of my dogs broke out of her cage and set off the motion detector. It was about 1:15pm and I had a meeting at 2:30pm. So I had a bit over an hour to get home, fix the cage, get the dogs back in their crates, and get back to the office. I couldn't miss the meeting as it was with my CEO. So I had a tight timeline and a hard deadline to be back. It's pouring rain as I leave the office but I've got to get home and get back so I'm driving a bit faster and more aggressively than I normally would. These tires DID NOT spin until the very last light before getting back to the office. Sitting at the turn signal, it's just about 2:20. The guy in front of me doesn't move when the light turns green; I give him a blast from the horn after a couple seconds. He still doesn't move so I move to go around him. Then he starts to go and try to outrun me through the corner. Guys, I finally made these tires spin ... full throttle through a corner in the rain. They spun all the way through the corner but there was 0 lateral movement. Before anybody says anything about it being dangerous, yeah it was. I know it, don't need anyone to tell me so. That's not the point of this story. The point of this story is these tires grip like a **** even in ridiculous situations.
