I am so lost, I purchased a 2012 1500 dodge outdoorsman and I am trying to find out what the air spicket on my bumper goes to.... maybe shocks idk.
The salesman had no clue when I pointed it out. Trying to find out because I was rear ended yesterday and the adjuster says that its there just for looks. Please help if you can! Thank you.

Is it a valve like on your tires? If so it could be for a set of helper springs in the rear shocks that you can fill up the hauling a heavy load

So, it's there for a reason and not just for looks?

I would say this is definitely what it's for.

Check the back side and make sure it's still attached to something. Some people will remove the bags before trading/selling and leave the Schrader valve in there so there isn't just a hole in there. Or sometimes they're rusted so bad it's just easier to cut the plastic air line and leave them in. No way for anyone on here to know without pics of the backside of the valve as well as where the lines go to.
