Hey everyone, I'm thinking of changing the hi and lo bulbs in my 14 express to led to match my light bar.
I been fishing around threads and have established the 2015 and up models differ from 09-14s. 15 up models disable the light completely because of error on canbus system.

Can anyone confirm how the 2014s react to the led bulb? I'm looking at these: Combo H11 9005 LED Total 200W 20000LM SUV LED Conversion Headlight Kit H8 H9 H10
The flexible heat sink design makes install easier and they have canbus chip but do i need decoders too? If a "bulb out" light is all I'm ok w it. I just dont want flickering or for it not to work at all.

If it's just the bulbs, I can't say for sure. I put OPT7 Fluxbeam X bulbs in my '14 and they work great. They come with all of the extras needed to get them to work with our CANBUS system. The downside is, I lost a couple of weak radio stations when the lights are on. I still need to email them and see if they have a fix yet. Everything fits inside the dust caps, too.

You mean these? Even w that bade they fit inside dust cap? Do you have hi and low? I read not enough room in housing for hi beam parts.

Saw this video https://youtu.be/8YSrWHQ8o9cwhere they use theseR3 Xtreme LED Conversion Headlgiht Bulb Kit for Dodge Ram 2013-2016 No Projector | eBay and the guy claims they worked great no flicker or errors.

Anyone purchase these before?

^^^ then pm him dude. Thread jacking is forum faux-pas!

I ordered a set of R3xtreme H11 leds now. Seller told me i have 30 days to return if i have issues. OR i can buy $15 decoders another seller recommended.

Another video i saw shows the flexible heatsink type fit in the hi beam also. But I'll wait and see how it goes w the low beam first.

Thinking maybe some yellow halogen bulbs in my fogs. I currently have them smoke tinted w stock bulbs but the light they emmit is pretty weird cuz of the tint. Will get pics up later.

Update: installed LEDs i purchased on ebay. They work great no flicker or error light. Super fast and easy install. Bulbs [and canbus harness] fit nicely within housing and dust cap went on no problem. Light looks great w light bar. Was so sick of looking at that stock yellow light against white led on light bar. Would recommend these lights to anyone w a ram.

I too went with the Fluxbeam X's as well. Decent out put and brightness vs stock. I went another direction with lighting so if anyone haunts a set of H11s you can take them off my hands for $90 shipped.
