I've bought three different types of LED Headlight bulbs and had the same problem of them flickering and turning off. This last pair I bought the cambus resistor to prevent the error messages but my right bulb still goes out. I had to reverse the polarity to make them work and are secured properly.

When I place truck on the "run" setting, I have no problems but when I turn truck on, they flicker and shut off.

What am I doing wrong?

The 15+ are real finicky with lighting....have you considered the HID route?

Negative.

What are the benefits to HID compared to the LED conversion besides price?

Lookup "TheAutoLED Corp" on Facebook. They have kits that don't give errors or flicker. Got a low beam set in my 16 express. Works great.

Think I paid $160? Not to bad, error free, no flicker and it all sealed up behind the dust cap.

Many have upgraded to the hid kit from retroshop and have said it was a huge improvment to the Oem projectors with no issues.

I have a 2015 with the projector headlights and installed the LEDs and one burnt out after less than a week so I'm going with HIDs now.

Is better to have professional install of the HID kit or can you still install the kit yourself?

You really can't mess it up everything is plug and play and just mounting the ballasts

+1... love mine and they have been in for over a year now without issue!
