LED tail light bulbs

So can someone correct me if I'm wrong but I just put superbrightleds LED lights in all my tail lights and everything works but I have the bulb out message for my left and right turn signal. From what I read I need to put a resistor with the bulb so it reads correctly? If so should I just buy the resistors from superbrightleds or is there another better option? All the bulbs are CANBUS.

Bought my resistors on Amazon.

There's mixed feelings on using resistors.

I had bulb out messages too...the resistors fixed it right up.

I'd buy LED taillights but I'm already at the edge of my budget so thanks for the suggestion.

Rzrman-I'll order the resistors then and give them a shot, if they don't work I'll look deeper into it. Thanks for the response.

Just remember to tap into the turn circuit and not the tail circuit. :happy107:

Haha yep. Do you have pictures of when you did them and which wires you did?

Also now my left license plate light is nearly out, it's super dim( it's led too). Is that from the tail light LED's? My right plate light is just fine.

Could be a bad LED or try twisting it 180*

And yes you need the resistors, I can't remember the wire colors. I think the turn signal wire is actually different colors for each side. Just tap them until they blink normal and the bulb out message goes off.

Alright I'll just check power for the wires then. And I've had those plate lights for quite awhile now. I'll try turning it and see what happens.
