Hey guys. Just have a question regarding LED vs Halogen comparison. My question is, with the LED's only being 500 lumens, will it be like riding with a 35w halogen(dim and dull), seeing as the lumens on the LED equal the same as a 35w halogen? Or will it appear brighter due to it being a whiter light?
Thanks in advance..

What LEDs are you looking at. I have some Xenon Depot HIs and Lows...Way more than 500 lumens

There are no led's that compare to hid's yet. Factory LED equipped vehicles are getting very good mind you. If you look at honda/acura for example each led has its own reflector, similar to a light bar. Thats whats needed to get good output from them.

Not entirely true any more if we’re talking retrofits and not plug-and-play. The Morimoto M-LED can hang with all but the best HID projectors.

Ya sorry i was talking drop in replacements but that projector is a great example of what i ment with the optics designed for an led chip.

35W HID in morimoto mini retrofit (definitely NOT top notch projector) only LED I've ever seen in person that compares to this was my Lexus is250 F-sport and those lights cost WAY more. Change ballast to 50W and they would be brighter e6a9e3cd6a9124399ff12541142120fd.jpg1f4769d9bb06924a8549f1bf5349bd65.jpg
