Has anybody installed LED headlights in a 2012 Ram 1500, and if so, did it require the extra "anti flickering/canbus error" modules?
Thanks,
Chris

I have them in my 14 and I installed the modules just in case. So far been a month with 0 issues.

I have retrofitted my headlights and I had to splice my wires in. I have the single bulb headlights and when I turned the highs of the voltage would drop. Currently I am running with just low beams.

I've ran LEDs in my 2014. Mine needed the canbus adapters. I took the LEDs out within an hour. Wasn't worth it IMHO.

You know, after looking at everything available, and performance vs price, I'm going to go with a bi-xenon HID kit. My experience with hid's is good, and the price and lack of flickering/CPU potential problems wins out. The following kit is only $45.1f289153cea37998123cc72522eb0622.jpg
This opt7 kit is only $40.99, and I really don't care about the hi beams. Both kits available from Amazon

I ran LED headlight bulbs in my '12 with no relays or resistors and had no issues at all.

Thanks for the response! Seeing as you have a 2012 I really appreciate it! I think I'll go with the HID'S, as I can choose a nice blue, but will keep you posted.
Chris
They're going on this truck BTW, which is why I'm leaning toward hid's. I did the tint with vht Nightshade's.

I did the taillights and 3rd brake light too, if anyone's interested.

No problem bud. Both are a huge improvement. I am running HIDs now as well but I have mine in projectors.
