Linex did such a good job a couple years ago on my truckbed, I carry water when it rains -- no drainage. I didn't see much result from rain when I was in SoCal (hence my name) but here in Central Texas --- it rains buckets in comparison. I have a Bakflip Tonneau cover so casual water is not an issue. But I recently did a full detail on the truck and took the hose and a scrub brush to the bedliner. Water pooled up in front of both wheel wells, not draining at all. Upon further inspection, I noticed there were no visible drainholes. I know the trucks have removeable drain plugs but Linex sprayed over these quite well. Nevertheless, is there no small hole exposed to handle pooling? Anyone else experience this?

The front of my 16 has two tiny slits in the crease. Line-x left them open on mine but just barely.

Yep my 17 has 3 small slits (front right, center and left) linex did a great job making sure they were still useable. They seem to get clogged pretty easy though so you'll have to clear them out every once in a while.

Any chance you can take a few photos so I can replicate? Wonder if my 2010 has those or if I need to do what RLK recommends (5/16in drill holes).

Thanks! :favorites13:

So I actually have one in the middle. They did a good job keeping it open. But I can't tel if they closed some on the side or not.

Mine was Linex'ed also and I have water pooling when I wash it. Fortunately for me I have a slope in the driveway going the right direction, the street. So no big deal. Looking at the bed, I can visibly see the center slot but it is sealed. The outer slots, if they do exist, are not visible and have no idea where they are. I'm thinking of heating up a butter knife and trying to open the center slot, as I can see where that one is. If butter knife works, I may use something a little thicker to make the opening bigger.
Melting instead of drilling is mo betta than exposing the steel. that is, if melting works. 2012 RAM 5'7" bed.

I was up-sold the clear coat sprayed for 100 bucks and seems like it was an ok upgrade. No chalky black stuff and still has a decent shine, after 5 years being outside.
