Hey all. '17 1500 2WD, just ordered the Maxtrac 4.5" kit but I cant decide on new rim width, 20x9" or 10".

The kit's spindles alone widen the front track 1", I could go with a Fuel 20x9 +1 but want to run 35x12.5. I know it fits but it would fit better on a 10"... right? And Fuel's 10" are a -18 offset.

I'm afraid the 10" will have me hanging out too far at nearly 4.25" past the fender, being my 1st truck I'm not sure I'm gonna like that look.

Does anyone have any opinions or pics with a similar setup?

Thanks!

I'm missing 2 cylinders
I have the 4.5 with a 20x10 -12 offest. But my tires are only 11.6 wide so.

Thanks. Looks good, I cant imagine 1" & -6mm difference more would make it obnoxious.
How far are you hanging out past the fender?
Are you using BORAs in the rear, looks pretty equal to front.

Are those 35s?

(I think the Toyo RTs are like 12.4" wide.)

I hang out a few inches, I haven't measured exactly though. And no, I do not have any spacers. The fronts hang out further for sure but nobody has ever noticed it so it's not that bad.

So I think its probably best I change my rim option. RBP Widow looks good and has a +0 offset on the 10"...

Confirmed today, gonna go with RBP Widows 64R 20x10 0mm. With the lift will stick out about 2.25" in the front.

Gonna wait on the EGR flares and rear spacer though to see just how visibly noticeable the 1" difference in track width actually is. If I did go with a spacer, Id have to cut the OE lug bolts back over 1" and will cost me about $350 to return to stock in the future.

Thanks guys.

EGR Painted Fender Flares

I just got my egr painted flares yesterday, paint looks great on mine but the "fake rivets" are just plastic. Gonna replace mine with actual hardware

Ohh I didn't know that, thanks. Well if I don't use them hopefully they'll honor a return under rivetgate.

Yes, I don't want them too far out, but fit like the Laramie ones do.

Just an FYI if you keep your EGR flares and decide to remove the fake rivets for real hardware be very careful when removing them. They have a foam adhesive pad under them and I had about 4 of them take chunks of paint of with it. Most of it got hidden by the washers with my bolt kit but 2 of them have visible spots with missing paint. Pretty sure they just sprayed directly onto the flares, doesn't look like any prep work was done at all. They look/fit great but this was a little disappointing.
