Here's my quick rear back up light addition. I didn't want anything that looked like it was added on. I thought about LED cube lights but didn't want too much. I had these prototype morimoto mono pods that I wasn't able to use on another project so I figured how I could use them on the truck. They are tiny and have a low and bright setting. They are worth a bit over 800 lumens each on the bright setting. I wired them up to come on automatically with my tail light bar. I need to swap the stock tail light reverse light bulbs to match.
I made a simple bracket and used a 2" sheet metal ABS plug that fit the stock tailor hitch openings. The mono pod I used a Rear mounting stud to mount them. The plugs worked great to center them and blend them in and they won't rust. The brackets I made are aluminum u channel with rubber on the edges to keep it from wearing the paint on the hitch. I soldered on weather proof connectors and plugged them all in. I don't have any great shots of them but they throw a good bit of light, so much that the glare in the rear view camera is too much lol.
The monopod is fully potted and water tight with a black billet housing. These things are like $10 each on clearance till the new production come in, mounts are like $5 each.
