Well, my "in betweens" anyway!

I sold my other ones a few months ago, and I've been gathering parts for mine, and trying like mad to finalize a plan on them. One BIG thing on my mind was........"will I be happy with a set of duals?". So, these lights came up for sale here in the classifieds......I scooped 'em up! These will work great for a bit while I build my uberlights. :D

Thanks Greg for lights! :naughty:

Not a lot of pics........it was dark!

Getting the wiring lined up, finding a spot for the new harness, resistors, etc.

And installed!

What bites? I was going to pop some switchbacks in while I was here.....and realized that my shipment didn't come in today! :flipthebird: Frack. Monday. Hmmmm...........should have installed the resistors...whoops. Oh well. :birgits_tiredcoffee

I dont see a diff btween those and ur ole ones

Here's the old ones

So, duals vs quads

Old set was running Mini H1 vs the D2S version now (H1 is MUCH better). Old set had mini shrouds - these are a larger Apollo shroud and paint is big difference.

But, very similar with the main color. ;)

Can't wait to see it in the daylight. :D

Huh, I guess I'm really interested to try out the Mini H1s. Because I really liked the D2Ss.

Which ones do you like better though??

time will tell.

Don't get me wrong, the D2S version is still great, but the H1s have a little more width to them. I also popped in a set of Osram CBI bulbs (supposedly the BEST out there, and they better be for their price) and a set of 50W ballasts. Its bright, thats for sure, and I can't wait to see that combo in my next set. :********:

I like the look of the quads, but for my next set I decided that I was going to put in something different than a "mini" projector. I want the challenge on mine. :D BUT........the projectors will be a ***** to fit in the quads, and I know for damn sure that it CAN be done, but the shrouds I have selected and the dual halo design.......well, won't fit at all in the quads. :hmm:

they are interchangeable. ;)

Want some quads? I have a warehouse full of 'em :birgits_tiredcoffee

Now for the technical fun......

The connection for ALL 4th gen Rams - H13. The duals have a H13 bulb, one connection. The quads have a H13 plug, which then runs into the lights, and is split to 2 connectors there (H11 and 9005). The kick? The H13 (duals) are set (programmed) to turn off the low beams when flipping to highs. This means - when you swap from duals to quads, you won't have all 4 lights on when you hit the highs. Suck...but it is what it is.

Yeah, on this setup - a different HID harness is needed (no biggy, I had a few here), but - popped right in.
