Considering hash marks tomorrow morning...brilliant black paint with metallic silver hashes. Mock-up on my truck and position example below.

I've convinced myself it looks good and I will like it, but my wife hates the idea. My son loves it.

So let me have it....tasteful, too much, stupid, juvenile, wrong direction, looks great.

I like them. I have them on my truck. You personalize your truck to your likes, to fit your style. If you were to ask for my two .02, on a black truck I like the darker hashes so it's almost a shadow look.

I've thought about matte black or a dark charcoal metallic for subtlety.

Keep it coming!

I'm thinking about them on my tuck. Metallic dark grey with the black stripes. But I want the sport hood first. I like them. Who cares what the wife thinks. Tell her not to drive in the truck and she can walk.

I'm a purist, so I say they don't belong on anything other than a 'vette.

It's not my cup of tea, but it's not my truck (the same goes for your wife).

Go put them on there in the morning, leave them for a few days, and then decide what you think of them. If you don't like them...pull them off.

Edit: By the way...I am generally not a fan of aftermarket wheels, but those wheels you've got are pretty sweet OP.

I'm thinking I'll get them in silver and stick to my gut, easy to peel off if it doesn't sit well.

I know it's a personal thing but appreciate opinions from fellow enthusiasts.

Thanks on the wheels...Believe it or not they are the stock Laramie 20" chrome clads. I just got some black lugs and black Mopar center caps to set them off.

Appreciate ALL the replies so far!

I've actually seen a lot of people refer to them that way online.

We'll see how this little experiment turns out.

Do matte. I love mine. I have extra too so if I ever want to change it up.. but I found this to be the best length and placement. It goes with the indentations in my hood too.

Looks great!! My hooks are red too, painted em a few weeks ago and have a red shackle in the back.

I want them to stand out and I'd go matte 100% if my truck was mineral gray or similar. If my truck was all blacked out, matte would be an easy choice too.

What has me leaning towards the silver is the contrast, keeping the chrome I have, some touches of red here and there. It seems to work but it's definitely the boldest option I'm considering.

I liked the metallic charcoal vinyl I looked at too but it doesn't really go with anything else on the truck.

Dark matte if ya do it.
The dark matte would look awesome on your silver...yours is one of my favs. I guess I'm trying to pull it off in reverse.

I'm getting the fronts and the visor strip tinted in the am and talked them into doing the hashes for very little. Just can't decide....

Thx for the reply!
