2013 Dodge Ram 1500. Purchased a few weeks ago. Love the truck. Came with aftermarket 3 inch bent nerf bars. While washing the truck I noticed the bottom of the passenger side tube was rotted out. Need new ones. Looking on Jegs and really like the look of the Lund 5 inch bent oval nerf bars but it doesn't say that it's a direct, no drill application. Does anyone know if it's a direct bolt on. It says it will fit my truck but do not want to drill any holes in my rocker panel. Anyone have experience with Lund nerf bars? Anyone recommend a set of nerf bars around or under 400. Thanks. Love the forum. On here looking everyday.

Not familiar with the lund nerf bars myself but if you were able to pull up the installation instructions it would probably give you a good idea of whether they will not on or not. Not sure if your looking for black or chrome bars but I recently got a set of Tyger risers off amazon in matte black and the look great and fit like a glove. They were on the cheap end and it only ran me about $160 total. Seem to be very durable and have great functionality to them.

Just get the molar in black, they are high quality and mount right. I have an 03 alt with factory chrome step bars, they look better then the truck. I also have a 2013 outdoorsman and bought the black bars, they are all good. Solid construction, thick and sturdy. I think they are powder coated aluminum.

I put on a set of LUND 5 inch bent bars on my '17 and no drilling required. Easy install.

I went with a couple brands before I went with the Mopar black ones. Should've got them from the start. Great look, just the right size, and seem to be holding up well.

If you have the short bed DO NOT get OEM, damn things only have two brackets even for a crew cab.

I have 3 brackets on my crew cab. I don't have wheel to wheel bars as you can tell. Bed size shouldn't matter unless you get wheel to wheel. Even than it will depend on the style and who makes them.
