Upgraded exterior lighting on my 2011 RAM 1500 Longhorn - Projectors / LEDs

I'm in the process of revamping the exterior lights on my 2011 Longhorn.

1. Eagle Eye Black Single Projector Headlights with H9 Halogen bulbs for now. If I don't like these then I'll go with black/smoked 2013 RAM OEM Projector Headlights.

2. Smoked Cherry Red LED Taillights.

3. Smoked LED 3rd Brake Light.

I get the headlights in a couple of days but the taillights all came in and I installed them this afternoon. I had put these same brand of taillights on my 2012 F150 in the same color and really liked them.

Everything was plug and play. The taillights are plenty bright, but the 3rd brake light is a little weaker. The cargo LEDS are not very bright but I figured this going in. I'm going to get some clear silicone and apply it to the light before I wash the truck as I could see some signs of water intrusion with the stock light. I know this is a problem area for leaks and it was on my F150 as well. You'd think they could put a perimeter rubber seal on these lights that really did the job instead of some crappy foam tape.

Overall I like the look. I will post up pictures of the truck once the headlights are installed. I took a gamble and went with these eagle eye lights in black, while I was very close to buying chrome. I'll just have to see once I install one of the lights - I may make a change or I may install them. I'm thinking installing a painted grille in Sagebrush Pearl Coat and if I did then I think the black lights would look pretty sharp. We'll see.

Headlights added 8/16/13:

I'm not sure I really like the looks of them and think I should have went chrome. If I had a body color grille then it might look better to me, however none the less here are the day shots. Night shots will be taken this evening.

I glad you posted pics of the tails. I've been eyeing these for weeks, but no one has them and I wanted to see actual pics of them..

Thanks man. Looks great.

Thanks guys. The taillights are the same color I put on my previous 2012 F150 and I really liked them on that truck, so I went with the same on the Ram. I like the lights because they have an OEM look to them.

I installed the Eagle Eye black projector headlights today and received my side firing CREE LED's for the backup lamps. I have not installed those yet, but I did get the headlights installed to see what they looked like. I ordered some 5000k H9 Halogen bulbs to run temporarily while I determine if I want to switch to HID's or swap to OEM 2013 Ram Projector lamps. I kind of wish I went with chrome headlights, but I was undecided.

I'll post up pictures tomorrow evening including night shots once the headlights are adjusted. They were plug and play on my 2011 Longhorn Quad Headlight truck.

Any night time photos... are the tail lights not as bright as the stock halogen ones? They look so dim, but maybe it's the tint or camera.

I'll get you guys night shots this evening when I get the headlights adjusted. I know few seem to post those but I will.

The LED's are PLENTY bright and based on what I saw in my backup camera, much brighter than the stock halogens.

Alright, here are some evening/night shots after I got the headlights adjusted to my liking. Unfortunately my Galaxy S4 didn't do a very good job taking pictures and half of them were very blurry even though the screen at the time was clear. I don't have time to go back out and take more, but if these are not good enough then I'll use my point and shoot camera another day.

Headlights = Much better illumination compared to the quad headlights I had.
Taillights = Very bright, no issues at all and my guess is they are brighter than the stock configuration.

I did not have the fog lights in any of the pictures.

For comparison sake, here are a couple pictures of my HID retrofit using TRS parts, Morimoto 3Five 35 Watt HID's and FX-R projectors in my prior 2012 F150.

do you happen to have a link to the license plate bulbs you used?

194 LED Bulbs - Superbrightleds.com

I used those bulbs in the front map lights, license plate lights and footwell lights which were 921 bulbs but these worked perfectly there as well. I went with cool blue.

Another good 194 bulb is from College Hills Honda. They have them for the 2013 Accord (I have an Accord in addition to the Ram). They are the same color and the output is nearly identical.

Thanks for all the info and pics.

I have a question about the headlights. Do you lose your high beams with these lights? Since there's only one projector and no separate light like the other ebay projectors.
